Now, “Volfas Engelman” brewery is one of the leading companies in Lithuanian beer and beverage markets.
Their automatic control system was morally outdated and extremely unreliable. Such problems led to constant failures and production downtimes. Therefore, they decided to renew their automation system fundamentally. They were looking for the equipment that would work reliably and would help to eliminate production downtimes.
” Volfas Engelman” asked us to:
- Reconstruct the equipment management system;
- Redesign and modernise the control panel components, PLC and SCADA software.
Thus obsolete Siemens SIMATIC S5 series controllers were replaced by the new SIMATIC S7 models. Also, other control panel components have been replaced. New control software was designed that met all the requirements. After the reconstruction number of failures was reduced to minimum and system management reliability increased.
